LVL built a customized content management system and real-time "push" engine that allows AMC's content team to create, categorize, tag and deliver rich Watch-Along experiences to fans of the broadcaster's top primetime shows. What started off as a binge experience for Breaking Bad turned into a mass roll out of the Story Sync platform other fan-favourites including The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, Better Call Saul, Halt & Catch Fire and the historical thriller, Turn.

Based on HTML5 and JavaScript, the experience was synchronized to every show's live broadcast and is available on all major devices. From behind-the-scenes factoids to the more interactive quizzes and polls that display real-time results, the resulting experiences are incredibly engaging.

Branded to fit every show's specific theme, each Story Sync experience offered its own special features. While The Walking Dead offered fans a chance to rate scenes using its Gore and Threat Level Meters, Breaking Bad's Story Sync featured Freeze Frames and Mastermind Meters. As for Better Call Saul, it's all about the Mugshots, Flashbacks and Judgement Polls.

At the end of the day, Story Sync was the first of its kind to add an extra interactive layer to the live viewing experience.
